Australia Post increased the fuel surcharge on its contract shipping services for the second time in 2026. From 1 June 2026 the surcharge on domestic parcels and StarTrack Courier rises from 12% to 19.5%, and on StarTrack Express and Premium from 22.7% to 30.2%.

It follows the 23 April 2026 increase, when the domestic parcel surcharge rose from 4.8% to 12%. Australia Post called the change a necessary adjustment to elevated fuel costs. It affects contract customers sending more than 2,000 parcels a year; MyPost Business, retail customers, letters and unaddressed mail are unchanged.

For a business such as ours, which ships racks across Australia, carrier fuel surcharges feed directly into delivered freight costs.
